This is where the character profiles, etc. go for the Sailing Away: The Lost Chapters RPG series.
The plot: It's the group of magicians vs. Monstro and his army of grendels. Over the course of the RPs, the two sides clash frequently.
Elements:
The 7 elements decide a creature's magical abilities and personality.
They are: Light, Dark, Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, and Wood.
Each sign has another sign it's strong against and weak against.
The cycle (=> stands for weak against): Fire => Water => Earth => Wind => Wood => Fire
Light and Dark are strong and weak against each other.
Some locations:
Port Pescast: The main, civilized port of the RPGs. It's home to the finest shipbuilders over the Interstellar Oceans, as well as to those who wish to join ship's crews.
Akatora Island: Ulysses's home island, primary inhabitants are The Lightfoot tribe of Akatora norns, as well as some other akatora tribes and some grendels. Also has Zrakin's cave and mountain.
Ilaan: The Kingdom of King Clanfar-it consists of his castle as well as the town of Sea-algea, in addition to several other islands.
The Ice Citadel: The home of Jaraha, this menacing-looking castle in the Northern regions is constructed completly of ice and is heavily gaurded.
Aquia: A city that lies beneath the waves. It is doubted it even exists, and legend has it that it is the resting place of the mystical Jewel of Ages.
Some prominent characters:
Master Drozan:
A Dab Hasnel enigma who practices fire and dark magic, Master Drozar has taught many fine magicians over the years-most notably, Zrakin. He is a neutral creature, who does not interfere with the paths of his pupils and will offer knowledge to those who ask for it. regardless of who they are.
King Clanfar:
A magma bengal norn who rules Ilaan. He is a wise and just ruler, but often worries about his only daughter, Saia.
Monstro/Ravana:
The primary antigonist of the series: The menacing grendel who murdered Skye, made numerous attempts on Chengo's life, and stole the Book of Time. He looks like he does currently because of the Dark Talisman, but his form will change yet again once he gains control of the Time element.
Right now, He is twice the size of a normal grendel. His horns are 3, curving spikes with hooked ends. His back is decortated with straight, pointed spikes, starting out 2 feet at his neck, getting over 3 feet over his shoulders, and ending at 1 1/2 feet over his hips.
His fingers are long and nimble, tipped with 6 inch long, black, serrated claws.
His tail is very long, whiplike, and prehensile. The top of it is covered with bloodred, porcipine-like quills, the longest and sharpest being almost at the end of his tail.
His eyes are black.
His weapon is called the Gae Bolg-A menacing spear, with a head composed of 30, triangular darts. When the weapon is shoved into a foe, the head splits up and the darts race through the victim's body, shredding flesh and causing near-instant death. The head comes back together upon removal from the body.
In addition, the gae bolg can also turn victims into stone, and imprison withen it the spirits of the dead. While it is unable to destroy the spirits, they won't be able to get out unless Ravana (get used to calling him that) otherwise says so.
Currently, he can use Dark and Water magic, but is currently learning to use the other elements.
Terms-
Enigma: The term enigma refers to a group of elemental spirits that represent darkness. As a result, most make heavy use of at least 2 dark magic spells. A few (like Master Drozan) have also learned to use other elements.
"Natural" enigmas only represent Darkness. Other enigmas (e.g The Enigma of Time) were once ordinary creatures that managed to complete a certain ritual that turned them into enigmas.
I, of course, will be Monstro/Ravana, but if somebody else wishes to control Clanfar and Drozan, that can be arranged.
