Idani took her time in her walk to L's office, occasionally stopping to look at a picture hanging on the wall or a nearby statue. She couldn't help but think that L must have been from one rich family. Either that or his current job brought in a lot of money.
Despite the almost overwhelming luxury of the place, it was much too quiet for her liking. Was there a single living being in this place? Well, besides herself of course.
As she paused yet again, she heard voices - voices, talking about something. Ah, so she wasn't the only one here. Then again, the clatter she had heard earlier probably was a testament to that fact as well.
However, just because there was reason to start running didn't mean she did. All she did to pick up the pace was walk a little faster, and she didn't bother to stop again.
It didn't take her too long after that to catch sight of the group of figures, talking mainly about what was on their letters right now. Ah, so it would seem she wasn't the only one who had gotten one of those.
While that fact made her feel slightly more at ease, this group was something else. Whilst the black-haired male and red-haired female seemed fairly normal humans, there was something about the black-haired girl that didn't seem right, and several of the creatures standing there didn't look normal at all.
Well, as much as she'd like to keep her distance, it'd be safer to join this group and walk with them to L's office. She might get lost otherwise. However, when she tried to say something to them, nothing came out.
So instead, she merely stood a reasonable distance away, listening in on the group's conversation.

"Great, so I'm not the only one here." Celyna said with a sigh, running her fingers through her red hair. Pasuing she turned slightly and frowned at the passages behind her. "Is some one there?" she called.

(Oh, I thought you were saying that to someone else)
"Sorry, then." said Sek, releasing the magic on the chair. It fell and clattered on the floor.
"HAI DANNY!" yelled Demetris, waving her clawed hand. Jesten also waved, though in a less dramatic way.
The three of them walked over to the group amassed inside the hallway.

Danny sighed. "Hello Demetris, Hi Jesten. Hi random girl who I don't know." Karawan glanced at them for a second, then shrugged. "I haven't seen a norn in ages. I really should visit Roia sometime..." Danny heard what Celyna said and turned to face her. "Yes, there's someone there, but they're not a threat." Karawan raised an eyebrow at him. "I've been practicing." Danny explained, tapping his head with a knowing expression. "Now if you'll excuse me, I don't want to stand here all day. Shouldn't we be heading off now?"

Eyeing Danny with a suspicous glare, Celyna began walking towards L's office again. "You've got a point. But we can still walk and talk." she said, calling over her shoulder

While Idani wasn't too sure if Danny's greeting was aimed at her or not, but whoever he was referring to was obviously not a threat. Well, she certainly not here with malevolent intentions, so wasn't that obvious?
Now, however, the group was about to head for L's office, wherever that was. Since she didn't know herself (she wasn't present when Karawan mentioned it), she might as well join them. However, she still kept her distance, as she still wasn't too certain of them. Either that, or she was just being paranoid.

"Fine. We walk and talk then." Danny shrugged. With his hands in his pockets he turned and strode off after Celyna, thinking. He had a small frown, though it was impossible to tell what he was thinking or how he was feeling. It was like looking at a blank statue. Karawan followed, smiling slightly. Some of his new companions sure had clashing personalities; the few sparks flying at the moment could cause a bit of a scene later. It could be rather funny, just as long as he didn't end up mixed in it too.

(I'm sure I posted something in here, after your last post. Something about Celyna and her soccer ball....hmmm oh well)
Celnya dropped her soccer ball onto the ground and began dribbling it along the corridor. There was absolutely nothing to do here, and she was getting bored out of her mind just walking *hinthint* "So what is this place exactally? Anybody know?" she called, hoping that someone would reply.

"L's uh..." Danny began to reply, then he paused as he tried to think of a word that best fit the situation. "... office block?" "Mansion?" Karawan suggested. "Castle?" "Hotel?" "What took you all so long?" L asked, head sticking out of a door a little way off. He had a frown and cream on his upper lip from sampling an iced coffee. Karawan sniggered while Danny gave him a cool glare. "If you're going to be our employer..." He said smoothly. "You'd be better off making abetter first impression."

"Nice foam." Celyna said as she passed L and walked straight into his office. Looking about she sat down heavily in one of the overstuffed chairs and relaxed, soccer ball at her feet. "So this office block/mansion/castle/hotel thing is yours? And you want us to do what?" she asked

L scowled at Danny and Karawan, then at Celyna. "If weren't in a good mood I'd lower your pay for that." He said, wagging a finger with one hand and wiping away the cream with the other. "You see, I'm intending to employ you all for a very important assignment. Come in, sit down. You don't all have to stand around. Danny and Karawan walked in, glanced around at the room's modern and contemporary decoration, then sat down in the nearest chairs. "To answer your questions, this estate is indeed mine...."

Fibre paused slightly before carefully phasing through the wall. She took a look at the chairs, and decided that she'd rather sit in mid-air. Exactly why she awsn't sure, it just felt more comfortable.

Sek carefully walked in, dragging Jesten and Demetris behind her. Demetris flew in, gleefully looking at the expensive furnishings and trying to decide which one to gnaw. Jesten stayed right by Sek's side, slightly behind her, looking around suspiciously.
Sek scanned the area. No spells of any dangerous level. She was safe.... for now.
She sat down in a chair, keeping her eyes on L.

Rolling her eyes behind L's back, Celnya listened boredly to his comment about the grounds. As long as there was room for her to room about and play her sport, she was perfectly happy.
(sheesh Celyna sounds like a obnoxious brat...)

(Indeed)
Danny narrowed his eyes slightly. "You didn't answer the second question." He said. L paused for dramatic effect. "Well, that would be because your other employer and my work partner can explain your task better. Dante, introduce yourself. Dante? DANTE, STOP SKULKING IN THE CORNER!" Danny gave a start. Glancing around wildly, it took him a second to notice the man hiding in the shadows. He couldn't believe it. He had spent his whole life training himself to never get caught by surprise, and he had stronger senses than the average human, yet he had been surprised. He made a mental note to make sure it didn't happen again. Dante muttered something before storming out of his corner and over to L's desk, shooting everyone else in the room a withering glare. His red trench coat swished around his ankles as he turned on them, icy blue eyes flaming. "I don't have all day, so you'd better listen. " He snapped, almost breathing fire. "To cut a long story short you're going to be demon hunting, got it? Kill lots of demons, you get paid lots of money. If you find anything weird or out of place, you tell me right away. ANY QUESTIONS?" "Do you have PMS?" Karawan said under his breath, but luckily Dante didn't hear him. L blinked. "Uh, Dante, you should really be nicer to them on their first day-" "My time's running out." Dante replied shortly. There was a hint of sadness and desperation in his voice, but it was quickly hidden. "Besides, I need a pizza."

"Pizza?" Celyna asked, snapping back into the real world. As soon as she had heard demons, she had drifted off into a daydream, imanging the world splattered with demon guts. Fishing about it her bag she brought out a pizza box, opening the lid to see what was still inside. "I've got about five slices of pizza left if anyone wants them. I got too full on the way here."
(Tada! And she has a nice side...for a change)

((Wait for me! D8))
Idani, un-noticed though she had been, had indeed been following the group to L's office. Luckily, her wing dropped no more feathers - maybe it wasn't molting after all.
This L person seemed.... snappy, to say the least. She wasn't too sure on how much she could trust him, but that too was probably her being paranoid. Dante (who was off sulking in one of the corners, she didn't notice him at first) didn't seem to be much better. Meh, was she really sure she wanted to work for such a short-tempered person?
Well, maybe work was the wrong word. The job proved to be...killing demons. Although Idani was a decent fighter, she'd fought against humans, not demons. This would not only be an interesting job, it might teach her a thing or two....

L turned to address the group, grinning weakly. "Don't mind Dante, he gets cranky if he doesn't get a chance to eat for a few hours." "As would anyone." Dante said gruffly. "Look, if you DON'T want the job you don't have to take it; just get the hell outta here. If you DO want the job, I hope you're as good at defending yourselves as L thinks you are. I'll be going with you into the demon world on your little 'missions'... I know it better than you're ever likely to." "Why?" Karawan asked, raising his eyebrows. "Did you get sent to Hell for ripping someone's head off or something." "No." Dante said, shooting him a grim glance. "Dante's a professional demon hunter." L said helpfully, reaching for his iced coffee. "Ah, OK." Karawan looked back down at his grey hands resting on his knees. He suddenly had a lot more respect for Dante.

"Demon hunting?" asked Sek, unaware that Demetris was currently gnawing on her chair leg. "That's what we're doing? Heck, I thought we were going to be assassinating someone, by the looks of this office."
She stared down at her pale hands. They jerked a little before emitting a slight blue glow.
"Dee.. de.... DEMONS?" asked Jesten. "You mean those giant red pointy headed things that jump out of bushes and eat you? NO!"
Jesten was about to rush towards the door, but Sek grabbed his tail.
"Jesten, KC left me with both of you idiots. You're coming along with us, whether you like it or not. She would be very unhappy with me if I lost you."
