April 5th, 2157, Year 3 of the Catheon's journey. Home of around 3000 humans and their service bots, the Catheon is but one out of fifty other ships sent out to find and/or terraform new Earths. There has been no news of success in the three years the Catheon has been sailing, but still, they are hopeful.
"Captain, our communication systems are down. We've lost contact with nearby ships Viola and Taraxa." The young engineer turned to look at Captain S. Reginald, who just stared out into the vastness of space coolly. "No need to worry, I’m sure it could be fixed up sometime soon, don’t panic." He said, before turning and stepping out of the room. "I’m going to go to the canteen to fetch myself something to eat."
Here it is. Rules:
- Human characters only. No one with special powers, no super geniuses who can foresee the tragedy that's about to strike them, ect. - No one can access the weapons or tools. - No one is saved. Not even the puppies. - Sfot and I will take control of the engineers, the Captain, etc. etc. You'll all be passengers, I guess. Or farmers or cooks or animal caretakers... But passengers are preffered. - There's no aliens, so... just... no. - I do NOT mind at all if you guys start to make a kinda little sub-plot amongst yourselves, but when the main plot kicks up, it'll all end. I may make a what-if RP so you guys can continue the little sub-plot without interruptions. - There is no set age limit for your characters, as long as they can walk and talk (and aren't superbabies), then it's fine with me. - Slavery was done away with a looong time ago. On this ship, everyone is equal to each other. - Ilu.
... Yeah. I'd prefer it if you guys describe your characters (you may have up to 4, maybe more... but then things would get a bit confusing) over the course of your introductory post thing, because I do plan on pasting it all together and posting it on dA, if you guys don't mind too much.
You may all start in the canteen. It is currently lunch hour (about 1200). Afterwards there is the daily, mandatory exercise hour is soon afterward at the Gym deck just adjacent to the large (MASSIVE) canteen. (Hey, you gotta exercise if you're gonna be out in space for so long, you know?)

Kaylie sat down in a corner of the canteen, her lunch tray having a mix of foods balanced on it: at least two sandwiches, a drink, some pasta and what looked like it could of been some kind of cake. She liked cake.
The woman was around 26 in age, with pale skin and a well kept figure. The latter part was something she had in common with everybody, though. Her brown hair was tied back to keep it out of her green eyes, her food, and to generally stop it from bugging her.
The seat next to the engineer was empty, and reserved to boot. Kaylie continued waiting for her cousin and friend before she started eating, mind wandering as she did so.

It was a small meal, a cup of vanilla pudding, a peanut butter and strawberry jelly sandwich, and a tall glass of milk. Angeline, about 28 years of age, approached her cousin Kaylie. "You saved a seat for me?" She said sweetly, grinning. "Thank you." She sat down and scooted a bit closer to the woman beside her. Before she began to eat her sandwich she brushed a few strands of her long, very wavy chocolate-brown hair out of her face.
Sitting alone in a corner was a Robotic Locksmith, the 52nd one to be built, affectionately called Ro-Lok. He grinned as he watched the humans eat, his black eye focused on one human in particular; Angeline, the one who was like a mother figure to him. The two, much smaller 'eyes' to the left of his one left eye were closed, since he had no need for them at the moment. The little android's hair was a messy mix of brown and blond, it looked dirty in appearance, but was, in actuality, very, very clean.
Angeline's gaze fell upon Ro-Lok every once in a while, giving him a little smile now and then. He loved seeing people smile.
(Lol, I faaaaail. Anyway, see the little happy face in my av? (Piccie drawn by Rxi, btw, I just sliced a bit out to use as an avatar) That's Ro-Lok.)

Fragments of conversations filled the head of Andred Collier, ace do-nothing. A thin smile was pulled across his face as his cold grey eyes scanned the clusters of other people, all eating food. He had been there, leaning against the wall near the door, for at least an hour now. It was a nice place to relax and watch the other folks on the ship.
There was that pretty black-haired woman he had seen earlier, strikingly beautiful in every way. If he felt like getting into emotional relationships, he would have given talking to her a shot, but really didn't feel like getting himself worked up over somebody. It wasn't worth it, in the end. As his eyes continued to wander, soft strands of light brown hair slid across his face and the man flicked them aside with an easy wave of his hand. Two women caught his attention as he lowered his hand. They were sitting next to each other, eating. They looked familiar too, and Andred had the foggiest memory of seeing them at a distance before. They did something on the ship if he was remembering right. With a soft sigh, his attention meandered on.
The next person the twenty four year old noticed was little android that he kept seeing around everywhere. The small smile on his face grew a little. The humanoid machine was cute, that was true. Andred had a soft spot for androids like him. And yet, he felt his eyes wandering on furthar, examining the tables of others in the way he had been doing for the past hour.
((Oh no! Random character! 0: What to do! This feels almost like an action break...))

((To KC: Nope! No age limit. ^-^ To Spray: o-o; Masters? Servants? Peasants? All humans aboard the ship are equals. Oh, and there are farms and such in the lower decks, so very little of the food is processed. The majority is actually quite fresh and healthy. ^-^ Thanks for joining, guys! I kinda thought it'd only be Rxi, Sfot, and I... Heheh... ^-^;))
It was fascinating for the little android; watching the humans eat, converse with each other, laugh. Ever since he was activated he had so many questions for the humans; what does food taste like? Why do you sleep? Why do you cry? Why do you laugh? Yet, due to his inability to speak, all of his questions remained unanswered. But he didn't seem to mind, being the carefree little bot that he was. He looked to see the young man that had been leaning against the wall for quite a while now. Ro-Lok had heard his name before. Andred, he thought. His legs made a quiet creaking sound as he stood up and skipped over to the human leaning against the wall. The little android waved, smiling.

Andred's attention was caught again. It was the adorable android he had seen around so much again. Seeing such a cute little machine smile and wave at him made his heart melt just like it had in the past. The man's smile became more animated and meaningful as he looked down at the little android.
"Hey..." he said, his voice kind and warm, like late afternoon sunlight on a day that had previously been slightly overcast. And like the sun, too, Andred glowed from within now, his grey eyes sparkling (Ok, I'm giving up on a conceit...@-@) like quartz. "How's it going, Ro-Lok...?" The human leaned forward slighly, abandoning his more lazy position for one that would allow him to talk to the android better. A few strands of his soft, bown hair tumbled across his face again as he did this. Andred ignored them for the time being.
((^^' Shoooort...eep!))

Ro-Lok paused for a moment, thinking, before he shrugged, which almost looked a bit odd due to his missing an arm. He would've said 'Oh yes, I'm quite well, thank you. And how are you?' but, being mute, could not.

For a moment, Andred did not respond out of pure cuteness overload. He had trouble with that. Even without being able to speak, the android was able to convey the answer to the human, which gave Andred a great deal of delight. "That's good. Very good." he said, beaming down at the android.
Derik sighed, feeling the usual mixture of embarassment and failure as he walked over towards at table with two women sitting at it. The thirty-nine year old had never been able to get past this kind of thing. Never. No other man over the age of thirteen would have done what he was about to do. He wished he could just disappear. This, of course, was impossible. He stuck out too much, with his sleek black hair and vibrant blue eyes. He was taller then most, too, which did not help him blend into the surrounding crowd of people. Finally, with a sigh like a condemned man, Derik tapped the shoulder of the woman with the tied-back hair.
"Excuse me..." he said in his low, resigned voice, "But do you know where I could find some blancmange...my mother told me I had to go find her some."

Kaylie smiled at her cousin as she also started on her sandwich, manageing to get a few bites before somebody came over, and tapped her shoulder.
"Excuse me...But do you know where I could find some blancmange? My mother told me I had to go find her some..." A tall, dark-haired man asked in a low and somewhat resigned voice.
"Shouldn't the service bar have some?" She paused, looking up the one who was searching for the pudding.

Only half way through her one sandwich, Angeline set it down slowly, unable to eat any more. She didn't even touch her pudding or milk; her appetite had dwindled only a while before. She cleaned the crumbs off of her hands with a napkin before looking at the one who had just approached her cousin. After Kaylie had spoken, she decided to speak. "Yes, I think they have some at the service bar. I've tried some myself, it's rather good."

Derik sighed, realizing he was going to have to search around a bit to find some. It wasn't like the old days when he could hold up grocery stores to get bottles of milk for his mother. Nothing at all like those days. Before leaving the two women to resume whatever they had been doing before he, Derik, had arrived, the tall man felt a wave of nostalgia wash over him like an unsuspected tsunami flowed across the helpless bodies of various villagers in coastal towns. How many times had he been made to run the redundant errand of fetching items for his mother? Ten, twenty, no, it must have been thirty thousand times at least. Well, at least now everything was in the same place. With a mumbled thank you, the black-haired man slipped into the crowd in a manner more suiting to a giraffe, leaving the general vicinity of the pair.

Kaylie carefully put her food down as she looked over at her cousin. "You haven't been eating much, Angie....Are you feeling okay?" The question had been burning a hole in her mind for some time.
Angeline was one of the few friends she had here, and only family. She didn't want to see her wind up in the hospital ward having collapsed...

Angeline smiled reassuringly, shaking her head. "Don't worry, I'm alright." Just as she stood up to dispose of her leftovers, there was a loud ding! Indicating the end of lunch hour. Angeline sighed her hand over her stomach. "I'm not quite looking forward to the gym..." Just then, Ro-Lok rushed over to Angeline after waving goodbye to Andred. "Oh, hello there Ro-Lok." She said, happy to see the little android again. A surprised look appeared on her face when Ro-Lok took her tray to dispose of it for her. "Uh..." She paused, before chuckling; he was always around to help her, she found that to be sweet.

Kaylie paused, and looked down at her lunch tray. It was empty, apart from a few packets which had contained her food. Apparently, her appeitiete was compensating for her cousin's lack of one.
"I really need to cut down on the food..." She mumbled as she grabbed her tray and headed over to dispose of it, smiling as she saw Ro-Lok take Angeline's tray. He was a sweetheart, nobody on board would deny that.

((I want to continue this RP, but just between Sfot, Rxi, and I. We're a tad more familiar with the Millvania universe, and are a tad bit better at making posts where the characters like, are just begging to be interacted with right away. It makes it a tad bit difficult to story-fy it, that's all.
So... yeah.))
