The soft breeze ruffled his feathery grey hair, as he walked along the shoreline of Lake Amaya. Willow Anthers nodded happily as he passed, his walking stick denting the moist ground with every step. ClunkThe old man stopped in surprise, looking down at the object his walking stick had struck. He stooped down, his old knees clicking with age as he picked up the shiny dagger. "How odd." he thought, as he marvelled at the cruel steel blade, and its unique daedric design. Getting to his feet, he held it up to the setting sun, trying to discern the runes inscribed on the handle. Kill him Startled the man looked about, trying to find the owner of the voice. But his gaze landed upon a small shack sitting at the edge of the lake. Go on. He lives in that house there. He's worthless, no one will miss him the voice hissed. The man felt something tug at him, urging him towards the house. Scuffing his feet against the limestone path, he tried to pull away, panic pumping in his veins. "No! I won't do it!" he cried, his voice hoarse with fear. FOOL!!The man felt his mind go blank as something gained control of his frail body. His subconscious screamed in terror as his body was forced to walk over the edge of the cliff, hurtling into inky black water below. You don't deserve to live. You're not worthy. The voice stated as the man took his final breath, water seeping into his lungs. He sunk onto the lake bed, the dagger still clutched in his hand. It shone briefly before completely vanishing into thin air to continue its quest for the right weilder. On the man's wrinkled grey palm, an interesting mark appeared. A clue to the next victim? ============ Right, it's about time we had a Morrowind RP. We (as in Drac and I) haven't really thought of a basic plot, but we know that it's about the quest for Mehrune's Razor (obviously *looks at title*) and how it leaves a trail of dead people in its wake ^^. Sounds fun right? It's looking for the 'chosen one' who has the right to weild it. If you are not worthy, you die. Simple. The RP takes place in Morrowind only. That means your characters can only go to places in the Morrowind game (including expansions). If you decide your character is going to be the chosen one, you better let us know. FAST. First in, first served. If you don't know anything about Morrowind, here's a link www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:MorrowindDescribe your characters in your post, don't make a profile. That way if you decide to add or change something, you don't need to continously change the profile. Besides they take up space -_-; There is NO godmodding (a message from Drac, that I need to pay attention to), NO superpowerful characters that take control of anything and everything, and NO....anything else that ruins the RP. Enjoy ^^

There were two brothers and a sister. All three of them Dunmer, and quite young. There was Karawan; tall, muscular, scarred and with an enormous goofy grin plastered over his face. His skin was as grey as the Ashlands he hailed from, and his hair was lank and the same colour as tarnished silver. His younger brother Morvayn was smaller and slimmer, well suited to the rogue's lifestyle he led. His skin was also grey, he had a tattoo on his left arm and his hair was dyed blue with woad and arranged into spikes using resin. To cover up the smell of the tree sap, he was wearing a lot of manly perfume. The youngest of the three was Willow. She was tall, elegant and beautiful, and she was more purple tinted than her brothers. her hair was white, and she was wearing a white silk dress. She was no pushover, however; there was a katana strapped to her back. "This looks like a good place to swim." Morvayn grinned impishly and ran over to the edge of the lake, peering into its muddy depths eagerly. "No slaughterfish- WHAT THE HECK IS THAT?!" "What?" Karawan asked lazily, wandering over with his hands in his pockets and looking in uninterestedly. His face immediately lit up. "A dead body! Exciting!" Willow rolled her eyes. "Pull it out and take a look, if it's an Imperial we'd better report it to the Pelagiad Legions garrison." Morvayn made a face. "Me? Touch THAT?" Karawan was already busy hauling the mouldering old body out of the lake. "It's an Imperial. But look at what's on his hand." He said, beaming as though he had found a stash of gold, not a corpse. Willow leaned in closer to take a look, wrinkling her dainty little nose at the smell. "A verse. In Daedric." She thought aloud. "Strange."

Alahn slunk quickly off of the boat. Technically, as a stowaway, he shouldn't be seen anywhere near the boat, and maybe not in the town, Hla Oad. The Bosmer was abnormally tall for his race, with auburn hair and bronze skin. He wore a Bonemold set of armor and a beige skirt, which was quite old. The bonemold had belonged to Alahn's father, who was a native of this land. He was quite confused as to whether to call it Vvardenfell or Morrowind, being told different things from his parents. Wrapped around his left arm is a very odd object; Some sort of woven vine with thorns at the far end. On Alahn's other arm was a tattoo of a Tsaesci; a being with the top half of an altmer, and a lower half of a snake. Slung on his back is a small pack. The pack is mostly empty, save for a small, plain dagger, and the book Mysterious Akavir. The book is written in, the scribbles unintelligible.
Alahn tried sneaking by a villager who was picking plants by the roadside, but she proved too observant for her own good, and saw the Bosmer. Alahn, having no choice, flung the end of the vine at the villager. The thorns punctured the Khajiit's neck, knocking her unconscious before she could utter a word. The Bosmer, sneaking by, picked up the other end of the vine and coated the thorns with some sort of liquid from a vial; The vial was half empty.
"This poison will sleep both Man and Mer." Alahn quoted to himself, walking east.
((Alahn is NOT the chosen one.))

((Thankyou for telling us))
Mazda huffed angrily, and looked at the fork in the road. Her destination was still another day and a half's travel, and now this obstacle was in her way. Looking to her left then to her right, she tried to think which way was the right path, frustrated that she had lost her map while at sea.* As a bull netch floated by lazily, she finally lost her temper. Storming off the path, she headed straight for the water's edge, ignoring the fact she was wearing her full bear armour. Diving beneath the chilly waters, she swam powerfully for the small island in the middle of the lake. A few Slaughterfish tried to attack her, but met their match against her longsword. She rested quickly on the island, and looked about. It was a nice day, but she had no time to hang around enjoying it. Ignoring her aching limbs, she stood up and stretched. Scanning the shoreline ahead of her she noticed a group of people. Hope rising in her chest, she took to the water, wishing that at least one of them would point her in the right direction. Or even better have a map. When she was in hearing distance she called out to them. "Hey! Could you please help me? I've gotten a bit lost." she said, brushing the water droplets out of her short, spiky brown hair. Her dark honey coloured skin glistened with sweat and water, as she trooped towards them, ringing the water from her gloves. She stopped when she saw the body and frowned at them suspicously. "You didn't kill this man did you?" she asked the siblings.
*Refernce to my game. The map doesn't work. Oh and sorry, had to type this fast. Mazda is a Redguard BTW

"You're on the west coast of lake Amaya. Near Pelagiad." Karawan replied, looking up at Mazda with a grin. "And no, we didn't kill him. He was sitting at the bottom of the lake, weird huh?" "Shut up, I'm trying to concentrate. I'm not the best with Daedric." Willow snapped at her oldest brother and squinted at the marking's on the corpse's hand. "Spent way too much time learning stuff like Japanese." "Huh?" Morvayn asked, completely mystified. He had never heard of such a language before. "SHUSH!" Willow hissed through her teeth, but eventually gave up. She looked up at Mazda imploringly. "Can you read this? It's impossible for me with these two peabrains chattering like budgies."
((Sorry, bad post. Not in the mood right now))

Mazda returned Karawan's grin, but it faded slightly when she heard Willow's question. "I'm not very good. I can try, but I'm not promising you anything." she replied, before clapping her hands together in delight, an idea coming to mind. "But I do know a guy in Pelagiad. who might be able to read it! If you guys come with me, I'll introduce you to him. And we can report about this body to one of the guards. Who knows, maybe he was a guard." she added, looking at the body sadly. Resisting the urge to grab a nearby stick and poke the dead man, Mazda pulled out a sheet of paper and a quill, and quickly copied the down the runes the best she could. Checking them once over, she ravelled it up and stuck it inside her arm. "Will, are you three going to accompany me or not?"

"I shall accompany you." Alahn said. He had been out of sight and had listened to the conversation. Even as one of the Tree-Sap people, he was exactly the same height as the Redguard. "This seems like quite a puzzle; One I'd like to solve, or at least, know the solution." Both of his hands were down, palms facing forward. It was a motion that signaled that he had no weapon in his hands.

"Wow! Quite enough?" she yelped in surprise, placing a hand over her fluttering heart. Taking a deep breath, she calmed down before looking at Alahn thoughtfully. "A puzzle you say? More like a mystery. And if you want to come, it's fine by me. Just as long as you don't give me another scare like that ok?" she added before turning back to the siblings, "So are you going to come with me and...." she stopped realizing she didn't know who the guy was. "What's your name by the way?"

"I am Alahn." He said, nodding slightly. "And I had a very good reason for sneaking up on you. A dead body was involved. That would make me cautious of you, at least until I thought you weren't the killer."
Looking down at the body, Alahn's eyebrows furrowed in curiosity. "Why do you let the meat go to waste?"

"Good point..." she murmured, before wrinkling her nose in disgust. "Cause it's an Imperial. If we ahhhh 'ate' it then we would A: get rid of the evidence and B: most definately be accused of killing this man."

Karawan, Morvayn and Willow all went several shades lighter at the thought of eating the body. "No thanks." Willow said, looking sick. "It'll probably give us food poisoning, look at the state of it." Karawan added weakly. "Uh, why don't we go to Pelagiad? Like, now?" Morvayn suggested to change the subject.

Mazda bit her lip and looked around in confusion. "Which way is it to Pelagiad? I really need to buy a new map." she muttered, picking up the body by it's ankles and started dragging it down the road.

"Morvayn knows the way best." Karawan pointed out, nudging his younger brother (who still looked ill). "Why don't we all follow him?" "Uh... OK." Morvayn muttered unenthusiastically and began to troop off towards the south-west. "I hope he remembers." Willow said, hiding a smile with her hand. "Not the sharpest arrow of the bunch, hm?" Karawan sniggered.

Scratching his head, Alahn followed the group. A few moments later, he spoke. "I apologize for making you feel uncomfortable. I had forgotten that other races do not follow the Green Pact."

Mazda threw him a curious glance, before continuing to follow Morvayn. "Green Pact?" she asked, gathering her hold on the body better. "What's the Green Pact?"

Alahn smiled slightly. "The green pact is a promise made to Y'ffre, god of the Forest. All Bosmer make the pact once a year. It is a promise to protect the forest. It also involves eating others, as to not waste the meat. Those that follow the green pact are carnivores."

"Don't be disrespectful." Willow said sharply, trailing along after Morvayn who seemed to know where he was going, despite his sister's comment on his level of intelligence. "Pelagiad's just over there!" Morvayn grinned and pointed at the fort crouched on the hill just across the lake shallows like a stone giant, with a small Imperial village scattered at its base. It wasn't a big place, but the fort ensured that there would be plenty of Legion guards around to report to body to. "Little farming town. Not much there apart form the fort, but the inn's a great place to hang out if you don't mind the... scallywags." "Typical of you to know that." Karawan said rather dryly. Morvayn often hung out with the rogues and pirates in taverns all around Vvardenfell, which wasn't particularly health for him but he never listened to his siblings' warnings.

"No. I'm telling you to respect the traditions of another race." Willow shrugged. Karawan raised his eyebrows, but wisely kept silent. Meanwhile, Morvayn was too busy thinking of all the food he'd buy and eat at Pelagiad to notice what was going on around him.
